Yes, International Legion is a structural part of the Ukrainian Ground Forces within Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

Knowledge of a foreign language will be an advantage, but is not a mandatory requirement.

First, a recruiter will contact you and send you a questionnaire to clarify some questions, after which your contacts will be transferred to one of your future commanders for a final interview. Do not worry about the interview, our commanders have many years of experience, prefer a modern style of warfare and have good relations with the personnel. After the commander approves the candidacy, the recruiter will prepare a Letter of Recommendation (relationship) and tell you the sequence of further actions for registration in the International Legion.

It may take from one to several weeks from the commander's approval of your candidacy to your registration in the unit. You will have the opportunity to complete your homework and prepare for your arrival at the unit.

Yes, especially if you have other valuable experience. Please remember to include as many of your useful skills and abilities in your application as possible. If your application is approved, you will undergo a 30 to 60-day basic military training course.

Age limits established by Ukrainian law are 18-60 years. No criminal record - applicants must have no history of prosecution or conviction. Physical fitness - all candidates must be physically able to perform the main tasks.

We transfer from the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine if the command of your unit agrees to your transfer.
To transfer at your own request to the International Legion, you must submit a written report to your immediate commander, stating the reasons for such a transfer.

We will refuse if you are a cadet, have health problems (disability of groups I or II, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, venereal diseases). We will also refuse in case of problems with the Law (open criminal proceedings and conviction under Articles 109-111, 113-114, 152-156, 430).
Applications from persons with disabilities of group 3, from military personnel who have performed SZCH, but the proceedings are closed, are considered individually.

We are the International Legion (consisting of several battalions) within the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while the International and Ukrainian Legions are projects of other departments. Therefore, in the Action and Reserve+ applications, search for “International”.

Yes, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have the opportunity to travel abroad during their vacation to relax or meet with family.

You can take advantage of the recruitment opportunity throughout the entire period BEFORE receiving a mobilization order (the so-called "combat summons"). A summons to the military registration and enlistment office (to clarify your credentials) does not affect the opportunity to be recruited.
